Lee Fair is the oldest chartered fair in the country dating from 1136. Gypsies first went to the fair in the 1540's and have been supporting it ever since.

It's not all horses of course!

Checking carefully before a sale or purchase

Racing - something that everyone looks forward to each fair!

Time for a good wash!

The horses seem to enjoy it!

Accommodation old and new

A gentle paddle cools the hooves

People arrive in all sorts of transport
The tradition wagon may not be as common as it once was, but like vintage cars and motorcycles many fine examples are maintained and used for showing off as well as for their original purposes.
